What lies behind the success story of a web founder as Lubomir Lekov – creator of one of the biggest online media companies in Bulgaria “Investor.BG” and subsequently – Lekovi Foundation, and what are the challenges facing today’s young entrepreneurs? These and many other interesting topics were considered at the serial edition of the interactive discussion Innovation Talks, organized by The Business Institute. Personal success story of an entrepreneur is important and should be heard, but more important are the stories of mistakes onto the road to success – from them one could learn much more, announced Lubomir Lekov, who is also a patron of the competition “The Scholarships Lekov”, for Master of entrepreneurship and innovations.
In the presence of over 50 people, Lekov and the other participants – young entrepreneurs Georgi Chipov, the creator of “SmartHand”, and Vladislav Velkov – the founder of “Jobio.me” project, Tsvetelina Teneva – one of the founders of The Business Institute and Radostin Vazov – Executive director of VUZF University (University of Insurance and Finance). They all confirmed that the formula for a successful business includes the elements “experience” and “innovations”. “Love of what you do and you want to implement into business, as well as, the presence of a given problem, that you are able to solve by your product or service by an innovative way, will almost certainly ensure the entrepreneur success”, explained Lekov.
“It is very important for the entrepreneurs to be truly enthusiastic when they are telling the idea their potential investors or clients – just only in this way they could find funding and sell what they do, as well”, said in addition Lekov. According to Lekov, it is very important that every entrepreneur should be able to sell his product or service himself, because only he will know exactly what the clients would or would not want – something that no one else can do better than him. His thesis was confirmed by Georgi Chipov, who explained that he chose to take up the Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurs, namely for that reason – a lack of ability to “sell” his invention. The advice that Lubomir Lekov gave all entrepreneurs was to find partners whom they can rely on in difficult situations and also to avoid taking the lonely road of doing business only on their own. Another important detail for every entrepreneur from the very beginning is to think about the moment when he will leave the company in the hands of someone else whom he will delegate responsibilities and engagements. “Otherwise, there is a danger to become a slave of your own business”, explained Lekov. 
According to him a special attention should be paid to the students as in most cases the education at present doesn’t offer an adequate attitude toward them. “The students during trainings need to have real contacts with active entrepreneurs and to solve true cases, as well as to discuss errors, which are quite normal on the way to success. That is why I took the responsibilities as a patron of the announced competition The Scholarship Lekov (for a year and a half), in order to give real and practical assistance and advices to students, who will be accepted within the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovations”, Lekov announced. To help young people, who have recently graduated and are looking for a suitable job, comes the platform created by Vladislav Velkov. He explained that the CV is not the most important to find a job – more important is to be able to gain knowledge and experience quickly, as the business reality forces people to do this. This opinion was also shared by Lubomir Lekov who concluded the discussion with position on requirements for entrepreneurs – nowadays they are too big for them, so they should be more flexible and prompt in their actions.
