What we do?
Lekovi Foundation was established to share with all the active people in Bulgaria the experience, enthusiasm and way of thinking of professionals whose lives are aligned with different online projects.
We strongly believe that each person has the right to express himself freely, to defend his own ideas, depending on his skills and abilities. We are sure that if more people think like us and know they hold their happiness in their own hands, this will surely lead to a progress of the whole country.
We want to show to the young people in Bulgaria that being independent and enterprising is a positive thing they should and could strive for. One way of being such is to seek personal development together with the development of digital technologies.
The organization will be active through sharing because we believe this is the only working approach for transferring knowledge and skills. Our desire is to organize different trainings, workshops and long term courses according to the needs of the audience – students, pupils and all young people who want to achieve success in Bulgaria – in real life and digitally.
Our country have plenty of professionals in the field of technologies and especially in the field of digital projects. Our desire is to unite all of them digitally so that we could create an unique for Bulgaria incubator for generating and sharing knowledge and skills.
We want this foundation to be the place where everyone with an idea for online business or project, but lacking confidence, experience or knowledge, to be able to find the missing parts of the puzzle and then to freely press the Enter button of his independent professional life, digitally provided.
Who are we doing this for?
We are doing it for everyone who doesn’t think of the Internet and its huge possibilities in a skeptical manner, regardless of age, gender and place of living. The skeptical ones are also among our target but it will take us a little more time to convince them that their professional future combines real and digital presence, and it doesn’t hurt!
How do we stand out?
Through our belief in the power of sharing. We know that skills and knowledge are valuable only when you share them with other people. Strong individuals constitute a strong civil society and the strive for this is our distinctive mark. We want each person to have the desire, possibility, ability and knowledge fr personal development and self-actualization.
In ten years the organization will:
Be active in several directions:
- trainings of young online specialists /in different fields/ and people who seek personal development
- educational activities (a long term program on “Digital media” by the Faculty of journalism and mass communications, for examplе)
- specialized trainings led by Bulgarian and foreign experts
- trainings for trainers – expanding the network of experts is the main step towards sharing knowledge and skills to a wide circle of people (trainings for teachers in high schools who can later educate their students)
- creates and realizes programs on a national level in cooperation with state institutions and especially the Ministry of education and science; actively participates in the IT training of students in high schools and lobbies and helps the process of digitization of school education in 8-12 grade
- educates people that being rich depends on your own efforts; being rich is good as long as it is achieved in a fair and honorable way
- serves as an institution on problems related to digital media and technology and becomes famous for making these topics clear and understandable
- its team serves as a proof that a man is happy when he loves his work, has the ability to do the job in a way he likes and is highly valued for his skills
- participates and helps different initiatives for the increase of online accessibility of various public services
- applies and wins projects through which is able to express its main goal and belief – the sharing of knowledge and skills
- has founded a scholarship for an original, enterprising and reliable online project, which will be awarded annually to a person or a group of people /determined by a jury of the Foundation). The scholarship must be used for the development and launch of the project
- Serves as an active defender of the online use of proper Bulgarian language and spreads the belief that everyone who wants to be a respected professional in Bulgaria should be able to use the language properly
- believes that both personal and professional life are equally important and each person should treat his personal matters as well as his professional commitments with respect
- strongly believes in Bulgaria and thinks that the people make the state, not the opposite
We do all this because:
- we want to live well, to travel, meet different people and learn new things
- we are intelligent and we are not egoistic – we want to share what we know – with our children, with other people’s children, with relatives and friends, and with people we don’t know
- we want our children to have same rights, to have the possibility to grow up, be educated and develop in an intelligent, progressive and rich in opportunities environment
- we have sense of humor
- we know how to learn from our mistakes
- obstacles don’t stop us
- we are not afraid to dream and have big ideas
- we are not limited – we could work practically everywhere
- we do care – for us, for the country, for the world we live in
- we are optimists and we are not ashamed of this
- and last but not least – because we already have the proof that 10 years later, through inner confidence, with the support of friends and colleagues, in the right environment, left to develop our ideas at ease (although they seem bizarre and unattainable sometimes) these ideas attract huge interest and serve as an example of success.
