The interactive discussion INNOVATION TALKS will take place for forth consecutive year and this time it will be with the participation of Lubomir Lekov, founder and manager of “Investor.BG”, founder of the Foundation “Lekovi” and a patron of “Lekov ‘s Scholarships” competition.
The discussion is organized by the Master’s Program of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance – a joint product of the Higher School of Insurance and Finance (HSIF) and The Business Institute, a representative of Cisco Entrepreneur Institute. The formula that will form this year’s discussions for the INNOVATION TALKS edition is “Experience + Innovation = New Business with Great Potential”.
Other participants in the event are graduates of the Master’s Program, that already have their own interesting business projects: Georgy Chipev, “Smart Hand” and Vladislav Velkov, “Jobio.me”. The Forth Edition of Innovation Talks will be held on 16th of June , Monday, 18:30 h., in Art Rental; 5,“Lachezar Stanchev” str., Sopharma Business Towers (metro station “M.G.Dimitrov”).

We deeply believe that the professional experience is a key precondition for the success of one entrepreneur. Namely, it enables him “to see through” the frustrations of the market which he knows. And as we know, the frustration is the “parent” of business possibilities and innovations.
What will happen on the Innovation Talks?
The formula “Experience + Innovation = New Business with Great Potential” will be illustrated with stories and personal examples of our speakers. The audience will expect to share your opinion and why not stories, and personal examples, according to the topic – Do you believe in the formula? Why “Yes” , why “Not”?
Here is some additional information about our speakers and what to expect from them.
Lubomir lekov will present his vision and practical experience within “Investor.BG”, concerning how his accumulated knowledge and skills in a real social environment created possibilities for a successful entrepreneurship. He will also speak about the difference between making a business just for money and a business with a cause, which is rewarded by the market, because of its usefulness. Lekov is a patron of the competition “Lekov’s Scholarships”.
Vladislav Velkov will speak about the lessons he has learned when developing the Jobio.me project – an innovative jobs platform which helps the “freshly graduated” people with not enough professional experience. He will also explain how the experience from his previous projects has helped him to develop the new idea and how his team works to be successful. Jobio.me is financed by the start-up fund LAUNCHub.
Vladislav is a graduate of the Master’s Program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance, but the idea of Jobio.me is as a result of Vladislav’s Master degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance.
Georgi Chipev will introduce us with the challenging way of turning an innovation to business. He is now working on his project “SmartHand” – a smart prothesis that moves and acts like a normal hand. He will speak of the importance of his experience, how the idea turns into a real innovation and how to turn the idea into business with a significant added value for the society?
The project has gained many awards – Empower for 2011, Startup Spotlight (an international competition), “30 under 30” of Forbes Bulgaria and others. Now Georgi is a student in the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance Master’s Program, and he builds on and develops his project within the practical work in the program.
Tsvetelina Teneva is a moderator of the discussion. She is a Senior Facilitator in The Business Institute as well as in the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Finance Master’s Program.
The event is dedicated to professionals in different business organizations who are interested in or work directly in the field of innovations, young people – enthusiasts, sharing the vision that the innovations are very important to our common development.
